I had a really good karate class last night. Though it was kinda scary. For the first two classes (the one I'm an assistant for) there weren't that many student because of the holiday so instead of me assisting most of the time I had one of the black belts working with me on my katas. Then I nearly broke myself on Mr. Leepman (he's the instructor that I assist). And I don't mean Mr. Leapman almost broke me, I almost broke myself. We were demonstrating a double upper block and I was supposed to come at him with two round house punches. Well I did, and I did it hard. OMG! When he blacked I felt like my wrist might shatter. Right now I have little red dotts on my skin where contact was made. It hurt so freakin much! It reminded me of that fight (in Naruto) where Neiji closes up all the chakra holes in Hinita's arm and there are all those red dots. Hmm...kinda interesting because Wiley had pretended to do that to me the night before at Moo's party. Anyway, right after that I led the class through 80 kicks (which is like nothing). But then it was time for my class. Oh, and did I mention that they didn't have the AC on? Yeah...well they didn't. Before my class even started I was really really hot. Mr. Miller (my instructor) started the class by having everyone sit down. He then said, "So, in my classes, we don't do a lot of conditioning." he then had a whole speech about how lucky he was to have had the kind of classes where the air conditioning wasn't on, where you couldn't get a drink of water or go to the bathroom, where you did an entire class of hard conditionings and you would hold a stance for minutes in complete focus without being allowed to wipe the beads of sweat that slid down your face. He talked about physical and mental discipline, and then he ended the talk by mention one of his favorite quotes. "Today we do what others wont so tomorrow we can do what other's can't." Then we had class. No AC, no drinks of water, everything he described. It was a bit intense, but it was awesome. In all honesty, I was expecting it to be a lot harder. But man was it hot. We also did a different kind of conditioning. Anger conditioning. Everyone was partnered up and one person was supposed to slap the other in the face, to get them angry. But the person getting slapped was supposed to not show anything and keep their hands at there sides. Heather was really good at this. He said that the point of this was to be able to have self control and never start a fight. Because apparently, some people, if they know that you know karate, will try and pick a fight with you by doing things like that. This exorcise was kinda hard for me. I had an awesome couple of days! I went to the Rosendale Rec Center and managed not to hate my life yesterday. (I usually hate my life when I go there) And then a few minutes before it was time to go RJ (who had been a royal pain in the ass all day) started spraying everyone with blue silly string. Some got caught on my hand and then I realized something! Light blue silly string looks just like chakra threads that the puppeteers use in Naruto! Ally (who was coming over to my house that night) happened to pull in just at the right second. I rounded on her with the "chakra threads" attached to my fingers screaming "Look I'm Sasori!" like an idiot. Just for the record, Sasori looks like this:  In any case, it was so awesome that I rode all the way to Kingston without moving my hand so I could show Kate in the Barnes & Noble parking lot. (Which is where my picture was taken with Ally's cell phone) When she pulled in I yelled, "I HAVE A THOUSAND PUPPETS!" Which, I realize, only makes sense to us. It wasn't even in the actual Naruto manga. It's just our commentary. We were up really late playing with my Naruto headbands and weapons while Ally (who was pretending to be Sakura) filmed it on her cell phone. Damn I want her phone, it was just so cool. I can't figure out how to open the videos on my e-mail though. Which blows because I want copies. Good times. Kate showed me that Naruto/D&D video that I put in my last entry. It's just too perfect for me. I'm surprised that she's the one that found it. Hmm. That makes me wonder. Kate, how exactly did you find that? Oh, she also showed me the below icon. I was about to post my Kethron essay, but I can't remember how to make a lj cut or whatever it's called. Oh well, I guess I'll have to put that on hold... In any case, over the past two weeks I have decided that I like music other then soundtracks. For the past three years I've only listened to LotR or PotC or Naruto music, but now I like Punk-Rock (and Emo-Punk). It's awesome! I've heard it before, but it just didn't interest me, and now all of a sudden, I like it. Sum 41 is my favorite band. Their music is awesome! It makes me want to learn to play the electric guitar. Other then that, nothing really knew. I took my stats finale today, and I'm still stressing about my other finales. Urgh. The last few days have been so stressful. I just want to practice my karate and watch Naruto. What’s a ninja to do when they have three papers, two math exams, a psych test, and a piano final all in the next two weeks? Bitch thats what. Man I'm gonna be happy once finals are over. I got my Kethron paper back. I don't remember if I mentioned it on LJ, but I wrote my psychology paper on Kethron. Since Mr. Hobbs is one of the coolest teachers in the world, he pretty much let us write our paper on anything we wanted as long as it showed that we were using our psychological muscle. One of the things he recommended was analyzing a character, and he said it could be fictional or real person. So I wrote up a proposal and he not only approved it but couldn't wait to see what I did, so I wrote it. It was supposed to be four pages long, but it ended up being nine. I had to wrap it up at a certain point, so I think I'm going to finish it this summer (it'll probably be twenty pages longer something). Anyway, I just got it back this week. Mr. told me how much he enjoyed reading it and how good it was. I was happy, but then he kept talking about how he really felt like he could empathize with the character and really wanted him to get better, then he said "And when he killed that guy," 'that guy' being Panwyr, "I was heartbroken! I was like 'Oh no! Kethron can't do that!'". I was thrilled. It was strange hearing my teacher say "Kethron" especially I since I had never actually talked about him in person, only in the essay. But yeah, it was awesome. I actually had a conversation about Kethron's psychological development with my teacher. So cool. Reading his comments on the paper was really fun too. When I wrote about Panwyr coming back he wrote "Yay!". Wow, I wrote a lot more about that then I planned. Well, like I said, Kethron and Ninja are my two favorite topics of conversation. I don't know if I said that...but hey, it's true anyway. In any case, I'm getting really psyched up for Conneticon this summer. I got my kunai and shuriken the other day. They are the only item that I've bought on e-bay that actually look better then the picture. As soon as I have free time I'm throwing them outside in my backyard. I also got that wedding parasol that I ordered and it's gorgeous. Heather and I already have a million ideas for pictures of us as Itachi and Sasuke. This is gonna be sooooo much fun! And in other news I want to build puppets. Why? Because they are AWESOME! But not little puppets, big wooden puppets with knives that flip out of the wrists and the shields that break out from inside the arms. This only makes sense to Kate, but I don't really care. I walked into my psych classroom a few minutes ago and there was no one there. I looked around for a cancellation notice, but there wasn't one. I was really confused until I looked at the clock. I was fifteen minutes early and nobody else had gotten there yet. I was shocked. I've never been the first one to class. So, instead of waiting there, I decided to go waste my time on LJ. On my way to my religion class a girl stopped me and squealed, "Oh my God! Your Zelda!" and the guy she was with looked at me for a second and said, "Oh! Yeah, you're right...she could be Zelda." I stood there for a few seconds before replying, "You mean from Legends of Zelda?" Yes, thats what they meant. It was kind of strange. I mean at least Kate waits till the person is out of ear-shot before saying something, "Wow, I didn't know Zell was on campus!" But this girl needed to stop and tell me. Oh yeah! Take that! leadfeather1, mortick, I hope you saw saw last night's game. Yankees rocked! We scored 7 runs in the second inning and A-rod hit a grand slam! (Which makes him the 4th yankee in history to hit a grand slam on opening day) So I don't wanna hear any more crap about him sucking this season! He is AWESOME! And the best part...Johnny Damon is in PINSTRIPES! Believe it! Now I can finally like him and not feel guilty for it! Life is good when when Johnny Damon is a yankee. I think I can die happily. Kethron is a god, Damon is a yankee...no wait! Itachi needs to be a good guy, THEN all of my life dreams will have been fulfilled.
